STC Village approves DDA reappointments, reduces members

By Hillary Grigonis Staff Reporter

ST. CHARLES – During the April 15 regular meeting, the St. Charles Village Council voted unanimously to reduce the number of Downtown Development Authority (DDA) members.

Village Manager Hal Mead explained that the DDA had difficulty reaching quorum at many of their meetings.

The council decided to reduce the number of members from 11 to nine by excusing three members with excessive absences and appointing one new member. Jim Delemeester was appointed as the new member, with a term effective until 2014.

The council also unanimously approved four-year re-appointments for DDA members with terms ending in 2010: Sue Bare, Karen Wood, Mary Apsey and Pam Ginderske.

The village also approved re-appointments until 2013 for Planning Commission members Phyllis Hoseit and Gwen Pellitier, Board of Appeals member Tim Louchart, and Park Committee members Richard Kushion, Jay Gardner and Dianne Dennis.
