GENESEE COUNTY

Monday, Oct. 15: Seafood salad with red peppers, marinated vegetables, fresh fruit, onion roll and margarine, and one percent milk.

Tuesday, Oct. 16: Black bean soup with ham, carrot raisin salad, fresh fruit salad, wheat roll and margarine, and 100 percent apple juice.

Wednesday, Oct. 17: Sub sandwich with cheese, mustard potato salad, baked beans, fresh fruit and one percent milk.

Thursday, Oct. 18: Birthday lunch, chicken gumbo with turkey sausage, tossed salad with tomatoes and French dressing, birthday cake, potato roll and margarine, and 100 percent apple juice.

Friday, Oct. 19: GCARD kitchen is closed, we are ordering pizza. The cost is $2 per person and must be paid in advance.

SAGINAW COUNTY

Monday, Oct. 15: Country style turkey casserole, mashed potatoes, green beans, apricot halves, and whole wheat bread.

Tuesday, Oct. 16: Fish florentine, prebaked potato, mixed vegetables, peaches, and whole wheat bread.

Wednesday, Oct. 17: Pork chop with mushroom gravy, brown rice, Capri vegetables, applesauce, and dinner roll.

Thursday, Oct. 18: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, winter blend vegetables, tropical fruit salad, whole wheat bread, and fat free chocolate milk.

Friday, Oct. 19: Vegetable lasagna, baby lima beans, mixed green salad, pineapple orange delight, and multi-grain dinner roll.

Join us for a Halloween potluck (sign up in advance) and Costume Contest (judging will take place during lunch) on Wednesday, Oct. 31. We will also be passing out candy to the elementary children as they come through on their Halloween costume parade. We will be collecting unopened prewrapped candy all month.

We will have a hayride on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Montrose Orchards at 3 p.m. This is a handicapped-accessible hayride. The cost is $5 per person and includes a pumpkin, which is great because our pumpkin carving contest is the week after.

MMAP open enrollment appointments are available for Monday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., by appointment only.

The Montrose Senior Center is hosting a flu shot clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please sign up at least a week in advance.

The Montrose Senior Center will be visiting Shipshewana on the Road on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Birch Run Expo Center. The bus leaves the senior center at 9 a.m., and will leave the Expo Center at noon to return to Montrose. Those riding the bus must sign up in advance, as bus seating is limited to 20 people. The show runs Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission price is $4 for adults, free for children ages 12 and under.

Line dancing is cancelled until further notice.

Albee Senior Friends meet for activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays at the Albee Community Center. Registration is not required. People who wish to participate may bring a friend. Programs change weekly.
