Tribe golfers take 7th in first jams

Chesaning’s lady golfers finished seventh in the first two Tri-Valley Conference jamborees of the season this week.

On Wednesday, Aug. 23, the Lady Indians hosted a jamboree at Twin Brooks Golf Club. Lyndsey Schirle led the Tribe gals with a 53. Sam Wirt carded a 56. Rosie Calandrino came in at 69. Emily Sadilek shot a 78. That gave the Indians 256 and seventh place.

Freeland led the field with a 185. Frankenmuth was second with a 197.

On Thursday, Aug. 22, the TVC teams gathered at Arrowhead Country Club in Caro for their second jamboree.

Freeland again led the field of nine teams with a 190. Caro took second with a 227. Frankenmuth was third with 238.

The Indians were again seventh with 272. Schirle led the Chesaning squad with a 58. Wirt was a close second with a 59. Sadilek shot a 77 and Calandrino shot a 78.
