Summer Reading Program Signup: Stop by to sign up for our kid and teen summer reading programs. We have lots of fun activities planned throughout July, with reading logs due by July 25. Participants have a chance to win lots of great prizes while enjoying a summer filled with literacy and learning.

DVD rental reminder – Summer is a great time for reading, but don’t forget that we also have a wide selection of movies for all ages. Whether you want a new release or an old favorite, check out our DVD shelves. You must have a library card to check out DVDs, with a $1 fee for a one week rental.

Book Discussion Group: Our selection for July’s book discussion is Room by Emma Donoghue. Stop by the library and pick up a copy and join us at 7 pm on Wednesday, July 16 for discussion and refreshments!

The Summer Reading Program will end on Friday, July 25. All reading logs must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25 to be eligible for grand prize drawings. The Friends are also collecting gently used books, CDs, and DVDs to sell during our Annual Blueberry Festival Used Book Sale. Support your branch while spring cleaning. Bagged/boxed drop offs are accepted during the regular branch hours. The Montrose Jennings Memorial Library will host Teen Gamefest on Thursday, July 31, at 4 p.m. This video game party will include four high-tech video game stations. Featuring only the newest and most popular equipment, teens will dance, sing, play and compete for video game glory. Registration is required.
