Death in Bridgeport Twp. ruled a homicide

BRIDGEPORT TWP. – Law enforcement is looking for any information surrounding the homicide of Bridgeport Township resident Darrell Volway.

On Wednesday, May 25 around 9:30 a.m. officers from the Bridgeport Township Police Department were called to an address on Olive St. about a man found unresponsive. When officers arrived they found 43-year-old Darrell Volway deceased outside of his home.

Michigan State Police opened an investigation into the incident and the state crime lab was contacted, assisted investigators in processing the scene, according to Michigan State Police.

The Saginaw County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide.

Detectives are actively pursuing leads and are asking the public for any additional information.
