Toys for Kids drive a success thanks to volunteers, supporters

Dear Editor:

Our Toys for Kids Program had another successful year. We were able to help 48 families with close to 500 toys being distributed to them. Thank you to the generous individuals who donated toys and money that made it a success once again.

Thank you to the following businesses that allowed us to place toy collection boxes at their locations: Ace Hardware (Chesaning Sales Co.), Ed Rehmann & Sons Clothing of Chesaning, Citizens Bank, PinTown Lanes, PNC Bank, Chesaning Chamber of Commerce, Frank’s Supermarket, LaClair Chevrolet Buick, The State Bank and Mel Ervin Ford.

We would also like to thank the individuals who gave their time and efforts who worked on this year’s project: Garry and JoAnn Evoy, Debbie Sutton, Bill and Teresa Lickman, Nancy Kettle, Veronica Price, Eva Birchmeier, Will Lucio, and Norm Rushton. May everyone have a great 2018. Happy New Year!

Dr. Cindy Weisenberger says goodbye to community

Dear Editor,

It has been an honor and a privilege to have been trusted as your veterinarian for the past 20 years. It is with sadness that I inform you that I will no longer be working in the Chesaning community. I poured my heart and soul into the practice and you rewarded me by allowing me to become part of your families. I cannot thank you enough for your patronage and friendships.

I leave you in the very capable hands of Dr. Abbi, Dr. Russ and Dr. Tim, and all of my amazing staff. I take with me the memories of the happy times of welcoming new pets to the sad times of terminal diagnoses and end of life decisions. I will remember all the smiles, hugs and tears we shared. Know that I cared not only for your pets, but for you as well.

Respectfully yours,

Dr. Cindy Weisenberger
