STC bowlers remain unbeaten

OWOSSO – St. Charles’ varsity boys’ bowling team improved to 4-0 in TVC competition by beating conference foes St. Louis and Shepherd on Saturday, January 6.

The Bulldogs steamrolled St. Louis, 28-2, before beating Shepherd by a 21-9 score.

St. Charles ran out to a 10-0 lead after the Bakers games en route to the easy win. Holden Huntoon and Bryce Coty rolled 203 and 202 games, respectively, in the Peterson games.

STC trailed 6-4 after the Bakers games against Shepherd, but came back in the Peterson contests to earn the win.

Michael Pratt rolled a 245 to lead St. Charles and Luke Martell recorded a 202. Pratt turned in a 220 in the second Peterson game and Haden Nothelder had a 198.

The ‘Dawgs are tied with Ithaca for first place and faced the Yellowjackets on Saturday in a match-up that gives the winner a strong foothold for the league title.
