OCP presents Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’

Chesaning High School student Ethan Kohagen will be part of the ensemble for the Owosso Community Players upcoming presentation of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” on the Lebowsky stage, beginning Friday, Feb. 23 for two weekends.

Evening performances are Feb. 23, 24, March 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. Matinees are February 24, 25, March 3 and 4 at 3 p.m. Adult tickets are $21; student/ senior tickets are $19; and tickets for children 12 and under are $13. All tickets carry a $1.50 service fee.

Directed by Garrett Bradley, the show features a large cast from Owosso and surrounding communities. Claire Canfield and Troy Seyfert will play the title roles in of Belle (the Beauty) and the Beast. Austin Elieff will portray Gaston. Roles of the enchanted household items will be played by Alexsandria Clift as Madam de la Grande Bouche; Vinnie Lindquist as Lumeire; Isaac Orr as Lefou; Alissa Britten as Babette; Stephanie Banghart as Mrs. Potts; Evan Worden as Chip; and Michael Windnagle as Cogsworth.

Other singing ensemble members are Drew Clark, Rachael Cupples, Rachael Dahl, Maris Fett, Selina Gaines, Laurel Hammis, Ally Gilbreath, Gayle Grier, Charlie Hoch, Josh Holliday, Steve Jodway, Caleb Johnson, Hayden Kautz, Wes LaVigne, Kelley Lofton, Mary Maurer, Frank Nevin, Kristin Pagels, and Melvin Renfrow.

Dance ensemble members include Madison Baese, Leah Collins, Taylor Engel, Aubrey Hammis, Evelyn Johnson, Skylar Kleinschmidt, Lauren Kovach, Katie McCarthy, Macy Remenec, Emma Smith, Paige Sink, Alexa Stechschulte, Carly White, and Nichole Brooks.

Erica Duffield is doing the choreography.

Rachael Cupples serves as vocal director. Pit conductor Jillian Boots will lead the live 11-piece orchestra. Sponsors for the show are Sagelink Credit Union and Owosso Graphic Arts. Th ebox office is open Monday – Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. During show weeks the hours are Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4– 6 p.m. The box office opens one hour prior to showtime.
